How to help

Headway Southampton is a small charity that offers support and advice for people with acquired brain injury, their family and careers. At present we have a small group of volunteers that come to help support individuals and groups on a range of activities. This includes supporting service users in:

By volunteering for Headway Southampton you are helping individuals to recover their independence and the rewards are large. You may have an interest in helping those with acquired brain injury if you are a student in health and social care; or have a family member who has suffered a brain injury. However, you do not need to have had previous experience with brain injury to volunteer with Headway Southampton. All you require is a caring nature, patience and enthusiasm.

If you can offer your time be it a morning, a day or more, please contact Headway Southampton at volunteer@headway-southampton.org.uk

Training opportunities may be available for those long term volunteers.
